The bomber belongs to the heavy ship types. Its salvo against ships is modest, but it carries many guns and an antigravity engine so it can land — planets can be taken even with a low bombing skill. It has a hyperdrive and can travel on its own; in a fast fleet it noticeably cuts overall speed.
